Knowing what to do in Fort Wayne can be confusing because there is so much available. So, we’ve compiled the top Fort Wayne events and summer activities to kickstart your itinerary.

YLNI Farmers Market

Every Saturday from May to September, you can enjoy browsing homemade items, food products, and more. There is always a bustling atmosphere and live music to entertain guests.

In addition, Brunch on Barr will be next to the market this year. So, stop by to enjoy cocktails and food trucks.

Lunch on the Square

From June 2 to August 25, one of the most popular things to do in Indiana returns to Fort Wayne. Lunch on the Square takes place every Thursday from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm. So have a break from work and grab food from the food trucks at the event.

Downtown Live!

2022 is the 7th annual Downtown Live! The event is a concert series that highlights the talents of local artists, and entry is free.

The Landing holds the concerts on Fridays from 6 pm to 8 pm during June, July, and August. If you plan to drive from Willow Creek Crossing apartments, there is free downtown street parking from 5 pm.

GermanFest

About 50% of the residents in Fort Wayne have German heritage. So, we’re delighted to see the 40th annual GermanFest return this year with delicious recipes, music events, and competitions. The event takes place at Headwaters Park from June 8 to June 12.

ArabFest

Headwaters Park then welcomes the 6th annual ArabFest on Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 5. You’ll be able to enjoy Arab music, camel rides, and a market during this two-day celebration. It is a free, family-friendly event.

Quilt Fest

New to Fort Wayne in 2022 is the first annual Quilt Fest. Quilters create their pieces to a set theme for judges to determine the winner. In addition to prizes, there will be special exhibits and exquisite quilts for sale.

Pedal Poker Run

In its 7th year, the Pedal Poker Run on June 18 has taken Fort Wayne by storm. Participants cycle around and gather five stamps. They then return to base and draw a poker hand. The best cards win a fantastic prize. You could also win Prettiest Bike, Ugliest Bike, or Oldest Bike awards.

Tacos, Tequila, and Margarita Fest

On July 30, head down to Headwaters Park to feast on Mexican food. The 5th annual event welcomes ten vendors from 11 am to 7 pm.

You will receive five drink tickets to redeem at the three bars when you buy tickets in advance. So, grab a drink and sit back to listen to live music.

Open Streets

You can experience car-free Fort Wayne activities on August 7. The Open Street festival closes Harrison Street, The Landing area, Calhoun, and Pontiac to vehicles. Instead, family-friendly activities will take place.
